Building beds in the Community—One Step Closer!
At Dream Builders of Indiana, our mission is clear: to ensure that every child has a safe, comfortable bed to sleep in. While we’ve made great strides toward this goal by building and delivering beds across the region, we’re excited to take the next big step… bringing the bed-building experience directly into the community.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Gibson County Community Foundation, this dream is becoming a reality. Their grant fully funded the purchase of a new enclosed trailer that will serve as our mobile workshop, allowing us to host build events in neighborhoods, parks, schools, and other community spaces. This means more volunteers, more engagement, and ultimately, more beds for kids in need… All built with care by local hands.
A huge thank you goes to Nikki Wallis, who created an amazing trailer graphic design that truly captures the heart of our mission. Our friends at Signs by Susie brought the vision to life, expertly applying the graphics and giving our trailer a professional, eye-catching look.
The next phase is to outfit the trailer with tool storage and organizational systems to make on-site builds smooth and efficient. While our original goal was to have the trailer ready by the start of summer, this part of the project is taking a little more time than expected—but we’re committed to making sure it’s done right so we can better serve children across Southern Indiana.
We’re one step closer to doing more great things. Stay tuned for updates as this exciting project moves forward!
